Hi, book lovers!
Hope you are doing great…
Today I just wanted to share a list of some of the books that I've been reading for the last three months with you, and because I know you've got a lot to do, I'm just going to try to describe them at least only in two sentences.
So let´s get started!
A science fiction book which at first glance seems to be okay, judging it by its cover, but actually it's pretty entertaining.
2. The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas
A book that contains six novellas of our main character
Celaena
Sardothien
and some other secondary characters that at the beginning you really don’t care about them but as the story progresses you start to root for them.
3. Thirteen
reasons why by Jay Asher
I love basically everything about this book, the story, the writing and the character of Clay, all except its message.
I don’t think you should blame other people for what you decide to do (unless you are forced or threatened.)
4. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J. K. Rowling
A book that I regret for not reading it sooner and that will never get old; meaning I’m always going to be with Harry and Ron wandering around Hogwarts at night.
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
5. Animal Farm by George Orwell
A short book but with a lot to tell about the Russian revolution in 1917 and the use and abuse of power.
6. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
A dark fantasy novel with some young assassins going into a suicide mission which at the beginning was hard to get to know the world and understand what exactly was happening for me but I genuinely liked the characters… they were good and funny sometimes.
7. A Darker shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab
A book with one hundred slow pacing pages which is boring and frustrating. But thank
goddd
... it gets interesting later because in the contrary, I would have given it one star for wasting my time. I just like to get soon to the fun stuff.
8. Cinder The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
This one is like the version of Cinderella that takes place on a dystopian world where lunars (Some creatures that live on the moon), cyborgs and princesses exist. It was entertaining... but am I the only one who saw the final plot twist coming? It was just so predictable.
9. El Puzle de Cristal by Blue Jeans
This is
a YA
thriller Spanish book with a lot of mystery, suspense, a little of drama and of course... murders.Unfortunately, there's no English edition. 😢
By the way, Blue Jeans is a big fan of Agatha Christie! So you can tell from where the inspiration comes.
10. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
A book about the relationship between two teenagers who though they have their own struggles in their lives and with their families, still want to maintain their relation. The story is set in 1986.
And do not worry, this is not another bad boy fanfiction.
Thank you for your attention and reading this article! 😸
